The project explores the concept of open school in the context of the “Cities as urban ecosystems” theme. Thus, it facilitates the transfer from a school challenge to a city challenge, because it goes beyond the school space, activating partnerships in local communities with key actors such as trainers and mentors from the Galati Teaching Staff House, researchers from the Faculty of Sciences and Environment, within the “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi, the Liberty Siderurgical Plant Galați, the local administration, companies that have a decisive role in identifying the solutions to such challenges.
The project aims to identify the means by which learning, exploration and activation can be ensured, seen as a publicly visible concept, which ensures a learning environment for students, representing an access point to the local community.
