Science Reporter’s Activities

• Pulchra Dissemination Hackathon – How to communicate science? Laboratories and brainstorming with the students of the italian schools ISIS “Bassa Friulana” of Cervignano del Friuli, IIS “Il Tagliamento” of Spilimbergo and ITS “Deledda-Fabiani” of Trieste.

On March 29, 30 and 31, the “communication Science Team” partecipated to hackathon activities: a Challenge Based Learning laboratory on the communication of scientific initiatives. Students had the opportunity to learn “how communicate science” in an active way: student working groups (Teams), mentors and communication experts. This occasion was an opportunity to interact and work together with the other schools of the italian Pulchra network. 4th November 2021. Pulchra final workshop, first city challenge

The Pulchra workshop was organised in presence and was also accessible remotely. Students presented the work done during the year, including the collaboration with other teams and schools under the hackathon initiative and during the Summer school “Creative connections of the observatory 4.0 GLOBE and PULCHRA” organised on the 14-18 June 2021. Most of activities were conducted at the Pradulin park, close to the school, and included the monitoring of soil, waters, air and vegetation. During the presentation, ways of involving the community and stakeholders were also discussed, e.g. through posters advertising the project. The workshop was attended by the municipality, a community delegate, the delegates of student parents, the head of the institute, Legambiente association and the Biodiversity service form the FVG region.

30th November 2021. International workshop “City Challenges – Open Schooling – The Cities as Urban Ecosystems”

The project was presented at the second international workshop of Pulchra was organised by the Charles University and TEREZA Educational Centre of Czech Republic at the end of November. Students shared their experiences with other schools and international experts attending the workshop. The presentation is attached.
