Together with several stakeholders, we decided to plant marram grass in eroded areas to help protect the eroding coastline. The students will be supported by @CleanCoasts and Angela Flynn from @PortmarnockCommunityAssociation. The students will also be investigating coastal resilience and learning about nature-based climate change adaptation strategies by engaging with Trinity College Dublin researchers.

We will use the Climate Smart Welcome to Climate Smart lesson material to teach students about climate change adaptation in Dublin and NBS. we will then go look at Dune erosion on the coastline and talk to experts about ways to restore the Dunes

There will be 75 students learning about the project but 30 students on the science team who will complete the marram grass planting project.
