18 November 2021 The students involved in the firt city challange presented the project to the new students involved in the second city challange. Good work!
Training webinar with experts on the topics to be developed with the challenge. In particular we discussed one the common aspects of our city challange and “Biennale di architettura di Venezia”. Sustainability, future, environment, innovation where the moste common word used.
Then we studied technical solutions for the prototype of the sensor network, using in particular the Arduino platform, and softwares to implement data collection and trasmission.
Several field trips for reading the Pradulin park and collecting scientific data with scientific instruments, laboratory analyzes and app development of a sensor network architecture for the acquisition of environmental parameters in the context of the regeneration of the Pradulin park. (during the entire school year the project is integrated with curricular actions of the various disciplines).
8 June 2022 monitoring of water in the Ausa river, where we found good oxigen percentage but NO3 concetration that exceed the low limitations (> 20 mg/l) and high level of Coliformi foecali (> 10k UFC/100 ml)!
One of the main results is the assembly of one prototypal meteorological station located in the school garden, using Arduino and common sensors (like temperature, himidity, rain, sun radiation), and supplied by solar energy. Data can be queried and retrieved using a cloud solution with InfluxDB, and charts/table visualized using Graphana.

PULCHRA IRELAND PROJECT SHARING EVENT
We presented our work at the international workshop organised by Pulchra Ireland! We had fun and were asked many questions about our work.
Moreover, we attract the interest of an ireland institute developing ideas and plans for green management! We are happy to share our experience with them! They were intereseted in the sensors we used to monitor the environment.
We are now working more in depht with this topic and we are sure we can get great feedbacks from this international collaboration!
