What is renewable energy sources and how we can used it? LETS PLAY
We separate the students in groups and the scenario begins:
We are in the year 2089, that is 39 years after the 2050 war that destroyed all conventional energy sources on the planet! The survivors of Cyprus must take action! This is the hypothetical scenario the students were faced with. So, they took on the role of groundbreaking young scientists, divided into groups, studied the weather conditions in each season of Cyprus and the needs of its inhabitants, and finally, proposed their own solutions to address the problem through renewable energy sources.
Upon completion of this activity, students were asked to take on a new role and meet a new challenge! As skilled journalists, they studied how local environmental problems have a wider impact and contribute to global warming. After their research, the young journalists had to prepare their own headlines, present the problem and propose solutions. Both activities resulted in clever student presentations.
