MariaElena Menconi is an environmental engineer and she works as a Researcher (Scientific Sector AGR/10 “Rural Buildings and Rural Landscape”) at the Landscape and Rural Buildings Research Unit of the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences of the University of Perugia. She has a Ph.D. in “Sustainable Rural Development.”
She is a member of the scientific coordination group of the Regional Observatory of Participatory Policies of the Umbria region (OPP UMBRIA).
Dr. Maria Elena Menconi, currently, focuses her research activity on the following topics:
– DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF METHODS AND GIS-BASED TOOLS FOR THE SUSTAINABLE PLANNING AND DESIGN OF RURAL LANDSCAPES
– DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF PARTICIPATORY PROCESSES WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR LANDSCAPE PLANNING, DESIGN, AND MANAGEMENT
– SUSTAINABILITY OF RURAL BUILDINGS
